Code of Behavior

1. General Behavior:
Legionaires are required to show respect to each other and to treat anyone you meet well. In moments of anger or frustration try to take the moral highground. Even Dwarves and Gnomes can be the “bigger man”. If you feel you really must rant please send a private tell, no need to involve those around you by using offensive emotes. Your actions to non-guildmates reflect on us all, so remember our goals of help & kinship and the guild as a whole will prosper.

2. Communication- Ingame:
When logging in-game members should enable the Guild Chat Filter and say hello. We understand that there are times when Guild Chat can be intrusive. If you need to dissable Guild Chat please let your fellow members know you’re going to silent mode. In this way we can be better informed if there are things going on in-guild of a time-relative nature.

While it is your prerogative to hunt where and with whom you wish, extend to your guildmates the courtesy of stating your plans when guild assistance is solicited in guildsay. Even if you can't make it, extend the courtesy of letting people know rather than sitting in silence. Legionnaires are expected to do everything in their power to aid a brother.

3. Communication- Guild Board:
The guild message boards are some of our most effective means of mass communication and it is important you read it and provide feedback when appropriate. Cast your votes on all current polls within the guild. This is especially important for policy changes and inguilding of new applicants.[Once the voting policy is reinstated]

Announcements are sent to a mailing list that contains all the members of the Lost Legion. We use this list and the message boards to inform our members of meetings, new members, missions, changes, etc. This mailing list is PRIVATE and cannot be joined without going through the List Owners. All members should be on the mailing list. If you are not receiving the email, make Cattundanser or Pilae aware of your email address so that you can be added.

4. Grouping:
When you are leader of a group, make the guildmates in your area aware of openings as they occur in your group. When you are a member of a group, when appropriate, based on the needs of that group, make your guildmates aware of the opening.

5. Participation is Key:
We realize that each person has his or her own amount of time that can be given to our guild. Some can play for a few hours per week while others can give many hours per day. You simply give what you can, and we will respect you for this. We desire all members to be immersed in friendship, honor, dedication and motivation.

The most important aspect of our guild, and the key to our survival, is Participation. We have created several methods for you to participate such as: Guild Mailing List, Guild Website, and Guild Events. If you make an attempt to meet/group with other guild members and show the Guild that you truly care you will do just fine.

6. Treasury:
A Guild Treasury is necessary as we will, at some point, need gems for special teleports and protection buffs cast by Wizards and Clerics while on Guild Raids. In addition to moneys, we have stores of Runes, Gems, Words and Pages for spell research. These are for use by our Casters and can be gotten from the Keepers at any time. It is desirable that members contribute Words, Runes, and Pages to the Guild stores whenever possible.

7. Leaving Our Guild:
If at any time you wish to be removed from our guild, simply notify an officer and remove yourself. We will remove your information from all areas of our site. We will not give you a hard time about leaving - things come up and we will respect your wishes. The Guild Officer’s will however like to know your reasons for leaving so that we may evaluate opportunities for change within the guild.

8. Negative Guild Actions:

a)Disrespect or intentional cause of harm to any Lost Legion Member.
b)Giving the Guildsite password to non-Lost Legion members for access to the
      private areas.
c)Rude statements and/or foul language around people who do not appreciate it.
[Get to know people before you engage in this type of roleplay]

Any member whose behavior is not in keeping with guild policy and/or rules is subject to coaching and other disciplinary action up to and including Guild removal. The offender will first be issued a warning. Upon the second violation the individual will stand in judgement before the Guild Officers. The strongest penalty is banishment.

9. Exploitation:
All guildmembers are expected to aid others. However, behavior that exploits the generosity of fellow guild members, or any other PC, is strictly frowned uppon. Any Lost Legion member heard to be begging for items should be reported to a Guild Officer as soon as possible. If you are in need of an item there is an area on the guild website for posting this. If you require an item from a specific spawn you are welcome to assist the Events Coordinator in planning a raid to the necessary zone. If a small pick-up raid is all that’s required invite guildmembers to group with you while you hunt the spawn.

10. Reputation:
Real people are playing behind these characters and we all have one common desire, we want to enjoy our time in EQ. What we do in game is extremely important. We must endeavor never to be offensive, abusive or behave in ANY manner (e.g., Kill Stealing etc) that would shed negative light upon our guild or its members. Anyone whose behavior negatively impacts the guild or any one of its members will be removed from the Guild.
